Kaylee

My niece Kaylee finally got to go home from the hospital. She was born with a diaphragmatic hernia which required surgery a few days after she was born. She was in the hospital for 7 weeks, but I was able to visit her almost everyday. I miss seeing her all of the time, but I'm so glad that she was able to go home. She's been home for almost 3 weeks now. She is so adorable!

Matt's Marathon

Matt ran his first (and according to him possibly last!) marathon on April 27th in Big Sur California. He finished in 5 hours and 12 minutes. I am so proud of him for this huge accomplishment! He trained for months running several days a week for hours at a time.

Disneyworld

In February, Matt had to go to Orlando for a work confrence. I got to tag along and we went to Disneyworld. We went to The Magic Kingdom, The Animal Kingdom, The Epcot Center, and Hollywood Studios all in 4 days. I think that it was the most walking that I have done for 4 days in a row, but it was lots of fun. The best rides were the Aerosmith Rock and Roll coaster and the Hollywood Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios.

Washington DC

In January we had to the chance to go to Washington DC. It was so awesome to see all of the sights. We got to see the original Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights. The security everywhere was crazy. We had to go ID and go through the metal detector just to get into the food court.

Utah

In December, we went to Utah to visit our friends Janie and Mitch. Matt and Mitch went snowboarding while Janie and I went shopping at the outlets. They happen to have a Coach outlet there that I have to visit everytime that we go. Matt and I also spent a day at Temple Square. It was amazing to see the SLC temple and other church buildings.

Puerto Rico

In October, we went to Puerto Rico. This was our funnest trip yet. We spent lots of time laying on the beach, but the best part was visiting the rainforest. It was the most beautiful place that I have ever been. There were waterfalls everywhere and it was so green.

North Carolina

In June 2007 we went to North Carolina because Matt had to check some stuff out at the airport. We stayed in Raleigh, and it was so beautiful there. There were so many houses in the historic district that I would love to live in. Of course we had to visit Duke University while we were there. Matt was excited to have his picture taken in Cameron Stadium. It's not breaking and entering if the door isn't locked right? We also went to the beach in Wilmington. There were cute beach houses all along the beach and the water was warm.

Seattle

In March 2007 we went to Seattle. I loved the rainy overcast weather! We rode to the top of the space needle, we went to the local aquarium, and we checked out Pike's Market. At Pike's Market there were so many beautiful flowers that were so cheap. Too bad that we couldn't take them home on the plane.
