The First Food From Our Garden!

9 Years!

Matt and I celebrated our 9th anniversary on the 18th.  I can't even believe how fast that the time has gone, and I am so lucky to we married to the most wonderful man ever!  I seriously don't know how he puts up with me all of the time.  He is the nicest most caring person that I know, and he's an awesome dad.  I am so grateful for him!  In order to celebrate we decided to take a trip to California, and we left Caden with my parents.

We went to Magic Mountain, and we had not been there in ages.  I have to admit that I was feeling a little nervous and thinking that maybe I was getting to old for all of those roller coasters, but we had a ton of fun.  This picture is right before we got on the first roller coaster of the day.  It was called the X2, and it was definitely the scariest one there.  We waited in line for about an hour, but that was the longest that we had to wait.  A few times we got right on, so it wasn't too bad.
Here we are going up to the top of The Goliath.  I was thinking that this ride was going to be pretty tame, but it actually had some serious G forces.  Afterwards we both said that we started blacking out at one part.  Maybe we are getting too old for this!  This was also the last roller coaster that we went on.  Matt said that we had to stay until we were feeling dizzy and sick, so I guess that this is the one that did us in.

The view from the top of The Goliath.

We stayed at a hotel right on Laguna Beach, and it was nice to be so close to the water and hear the waves.  The weather was awesome at 75 degrees, but the water was definitely a little chilly.

We also decided to check out Beverly Hills, and see if it was just like in the movies.

Of course that meant that we had to go to Rodeo Drive.

We didn't see any movie stars, but we did see some crazy expensive stores and cars!

It was funny to see people taking pictures with cars, but I guess that we weren't much better.  Apparently this car is a Bugatti and worth well over a million dollars.  That is crazy that it was just parked on the side of the road.

I was also surprised so see that the Los Angeles Temple was right down the street from Rodeo Drive.  It was a beautiful sight amidst all of the craziness.

Big Boy!

Caden looked so cute napping in the toddler bed at my parents house.  He was asleep when we put him there or otherwise he probably wouldn't have stayed.  Maybe he will be ready to switch soon.  That's a sad thought for me though.  He's still my baby.

Meeting Baby Delilah

We got to meet Delilah for the first time today since Josefine just got home last night.  She was so sweet and snugly.

Caden loved holding her, and kept getting up on the couch and trying to take her from me.  He even gave her kisses.  It was so sweet.

Noah and Caden wanted to fight over Delilah.

Shopping at the Mall

We went to the mall the other night, and I shopped while Matt and Caden did this,  Over and over and over.  Caden kept taking Matt's hand and leading him over there.

Hanging Out With Noah

After Josefine had Delilah she had to stay in Sweden and wait for her passport to come before they could bring her back to the United States.  Bart had to come back to work, so he brought Noah with him since it would've been really hard for Josefine to travel with both of them by herself.  Last week Noah stayed at Amy's house while Bart was working and this week he stayed at our house.  We went to the gym everyday and ran a few errands, but we mostly stayed home.  The boys got along pretty well at the beginning of the week, but not so much by the end of the week.

It was fun to have two boys in the back seat.

Mmmm hot dogs.

I guess that this is how you shop with two wild boys and only one seat in the cart.  They were good until they ran out of fruit snacks which took about 30 seconds.

Garden

Our Garden is doing awesome.  Matt is so proud, so I thought that I would share a few pictures.  We've made attempts at gardening in the past that never worked out, so we are super excited that our garden seems to be healthy and thriving.  Nothing is ready to be eaten yet, but hopefully soon!

We have at least 7 tomatoes growing now,

We have a couple of yellow peppers. (Yes hopefully they will actually turn yellow.)

I also planted some mammoth sunflowers from seeds, and this is the first one to bloom.

Go Dbacks!

Matt got tickets from work to go to the Diamondbacks game on Thursday night.  They were tickets in the US Airways suite which is right behind home plate.  It was awesome!  They won in extra innings, and of course we had to stay and watch them all.  Caden ended up staying up until after 11, but we had a lot of fun!

More Happy Birthday!

Matt always says that I get a birthday week instead of just one day, but this year he got a birthday week too!

We celebrated at Amy's house along with Andy, Austin, and Carter's birthdays.

We also celebrated with my family, and yes he actually blew out all of the candles in one breath.
