Madelyn

I was so happy to see baby Madelyn again, and Mikey and Matt got to meet her for the first time.  It makes me sad to think how big she will be the next time that I see her.

Jambo Park

The LeSueurs were here for a visit, and we thought that it would be fun to go to an indoor amusement park that my friend told me about called Jambo Park.  It was only $5 for 3 and under and the boys loved it.  The rides were perfect for them!

Mini Golf

We took Caden mini golfing at Golfland for the first time.

He was so cute using the putter, but it must've been too much work because . . .

after a while he started playing like this. 

It was more fun to climb on the holes then actually play.  He thought that this one was a slide. :)

Gilbert Temple

I am so excited for the Gilbert Temple to be built!  This is what it looked like when I drove by on Friday.

Just So You Know

If you happen to come over to my house we have a new no singing rule that Caden is enforcing.  We are often scolded and told "No singing!" For singing along to the radio or the theme songs to Caden's favorite shows that we get to watch over and over and over . . .  I'm just warning you because I would hate for you to get in trouble too.

Cody Shobe

My cousin Cody Shobe passed away on January 16th at the age of 21.  His funeral was held on Monday, and as I sat in the chapel my heart broke for the family that he left behind.  His wife, Steffy, is 7 months pregnant, and I can't even begin to imagine the heartache that she is going though.  It was so sad to watch my Uncle Mark bury his son, and the only thing that I could think was how a parent should never have to do that.  I sincerely hope that his family will be able to find peace with this awful tragedy and will be able to cherish the memories that they have.  

We're Going To Be Famous!

We were picked to be in a commercial for SRP about the time of use plan since we saved a lot of money on that plan last year.  We did a few different takes.  Our lines were "Hi we're the Mendoncas and we're SRP customers. Last year we saved $164."  Then we said how much that we saved a couple of specific months too.  I was a little nervous about the whole thing, so it was hard to act natural.  The director kept telling us to be more enthusiastic, but then we just felt dumb.  Caden wasn't very cooperative, so we ended filming a bunch without him.  I doubt that he will make it into the commercial.  It's supposed to air around April, so hopefully we don't look too silly!

Here was Matt getting his makeup done.  For me she actually did makeup on my entire face, and it was kind of fun.

They gave us a gift basket for being in the commercial.  It had some funny things like a programmable thermostat, a light bulb, a book about SRP and the Roosevelt Dam, and a kilowatt measurer.  I was hoping to get a discount on our bill!

Playing Outside

Caden & Kandy

Caden and Kandy went for a little stroll in the wagon today.  At first I thought that Kandy liked it, but I think that she was actually too scared to get out.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Caden helped me make the cake, and yes he did dip the mixer back into the cake mix before I could stop him. The germs all get cooked out right? 

Caden begged me all day to open the present and grandma was nice enough to let him help. 

I didn't have the right candle numbers, but close enough right? ;)
