Look How Much They've Grown!

I stole this post from my sister's blog because I thought that it was so cute!
Max and Caden with Grandpa on the day Caden was born.

This is exactly one year later. It's crazy how big that they are now. We thought that Max looked so big compared to Caden when he was born, but now they look pretty close. They are only 4 months apart.

Silly Caden

He likes to look at you through his legs. It is quite amusing.

Laundry

Everytime that I do laundry Caden has to stick his head in their to see what's going on. There must be something really interesting in there.

1 Year Old!

My sweet little baby is one year old! I was so sad when I put him to bed the night before his birthday because when he woke up he wouldn't be a baby anymore. Isn't that silly!? He is so much fun now! He learned to say 2 new words this month kitty cat and uhoh. He also got his two front teeth on the top this month for a total of 4. If you ask Caden how big are you? He throws both of this hands up in the air to show you and you say so big. He loves it! (like he is doing in the picture.) Sometimes he will wave randomly, but I don't think that he gets it yet. He likes to play peek-a-boo by putting things over his face and taking them off. He laughs and laughs when he does it. It is way too cute! He also took his first steps this month! With a little encouragement, he can walk across the whole rug. He is still pretty nervous about it, and he doesn't just take off by himself yet. He also likes to click his tongue. His loves to open the cabinets in the bathroom or the pantry and take everything out. His very favorite thing to do is walk around the house pushing anything that he can get to move. He thinks that everything is a walker! This month his favorite food is berries. I bought a bunch of them on sale, and he can't get enough. Some days he will eat a whole container. He also isn't very excited about vegetables anymore, and he loves to eat table food. I think that his baby food eating days are pretty much over. I love my little boy so much!

Yummy Birthday Cake! (Well Sort Of)

Caden got a little birthday cake of his very own to eat.

He definitely liked the ribbon that it was decorated with. In fact, I think that it was the highlight of the cake for him.

He took a little taste.

Then ate a couple more bites.

That was enough for him. He wanted nothing else to do with it. Even if I tried to feed him a bite he spit it out. I'm not sure where he got that from!

Happy 1st Birthday Caden!

Today was Caden's 1st birthday, and we had a big party to celebrate!

We played pin the tail on the donkey,

a ring toss game that was a little bit harder with 3 babies trying to move the target,

and we had a pinata.

I would open a present, and all of the babies would fight over it. It was quite funny and chaotic! Thanks to everyone who came. We had lots of fun!

Baby Cannon

Matt's sister, Amy, had baby #5 on June 16th. His name is Cannon Michael Owens, and he is just the sweetest little guy. He was a week early and weighed 9 lb 3oz and was 21 1/2". Even though that is big for a newborn it's so crazy how small he is. I forgot what it's like, and it hasn't even been that long. Amy's daughter Hadley was the youngest, and every time that I see her she has to tell me that she's the big sister now. It is so cute. Cannon is lucky to have such a proud big sister! I can't wait to get some more baby snuggles since my baby is way too busy for that.

So Big!

Walking For Real!

Traffic Jam

Caden and Noah were so cute following each other around the house today. The funny part is that Noah doesn't even need any help walking, but he didn't want to miss out on the fun. :)

Walking, Walking, Walking

Caden is so silly. He uses anything that he can push around as a walker. He's really fast too! He can even run holding onto things.

Happy Birthday Noah!

Noah turned one on the 15th! He looked so cute in his hat at the party. I can't believe that he actually left it on! It's been fun for Caden to have a cousin so close to his age near by to play with. I'm sure that will get into lots of trouble together as they get older!

So Sweet

Caden doesn't usually sleep with a blanket, but I put one on him when I put him down for his nap today. He kicked it into the corner right away, so I figured that he wouldn't use it. When I checked on him a couple of hours later this is what I found. He's so sweet when he is sleeping. (and most of the time when he's awake too!)

At Least I Got to Make Dinner in Peace!

2 New Teeth!

Both of Caden's front top teeth are coming in, so now he has four! He is already putting them to good use by biting food!

Surprise Visit From My Sister!

Steve had an unexpected day off from work on Monday, so they decided to come to Arizona for a few days. They just got here this morning, but the boys are already having fun playing!
Caden is teaching Max what he thinks the music table should be used for.

Max isn't too sure about this! (His expression keeps cracking me up!)

They got along pretty well except when Max tried to hit Caden over the head with a toy every once in a while. :)

Shoes!

Caden got his first pair of real shoes. He always wants to be standing on the floor when we go places and his feet get dirty, so we bought shoes. They are so cute! He doesn't seem to mind them either. I do like seeing his bare baby feet though! :)

Happy 77th Birthday Grandma Shobe!

Swimming Lessons!

I'd been thinking about signing up for swimming lessons for a while just so we would have something fun to do plus Caden could get use to being in the pool. Anyways, on Tuesday, I was looking at different places online and the private places are so expensive! I checked the Gilbert Parks and Rec, and it was only $25 for 8 classes plus the pool is right down the street from my house! Then I noticed that the classes were starting that day, actually in about an hour, so what the heck I signed him up. The classes are four days a week for 2 weeks so they don't last long. Today was our third day, and Caden seems to be enjoying it more each time. We splash around and I help him practice kicking, arm strokes, and floating. I'm pretty sure that he won't be swimming anytime soon :), but we are just having some fun (and hopefully I am getting a little tan)!
