The Newest Addition to the Nursery

So I've been looking for a rug to go in the nursery, and I've been having a really hard time finding one that I liked that is big enough. (I know, again with the obsessing over stupid things.) I actually brought several home and returned them because they weren't the right size, but the big rugs are really expensive! I didn't want to spend a fortune. Anyways, I found this rug on target.com for $11.99. It's 4'x6', so it's pretty big. The funny part is that the shipping was $13, so it cost more to ship then for the rug. Still $25 is not a bad deal for an area rug. I think that it actually looks pretty cute, and it's the right colors.

New Ultrasound Pictures Yeah!

We got to have another ultrasound today because I was measuring bigger then 25 weeks, and we also wanted to get a better "boy" picture because he wasn't cooperating very well last time. Well Caden is still a boy (yeah!), and we got a really good picture this time. Matt wouldn't let me post it because he said that it would be obscene. We didn't get any good profile pictures because of his position, but he did flex his arm and show off his muscles. He was so cute moving around all over the place. He weighs 1 lb and 11 oz which is normal for 25 weeks. He's almost gained a whole pound since my ultrasound 4 weeks ago. Everything looks good!

I Think That I am Going a Little Crazy!

I redid the letters for Caden's name for the 3rd time yesterday. I'm not sure why I am obsessing over this, but I couldn't seem to get it to look right with the wall color. 3rd time's the charm right? I think that I am going to keep them this time. Matt doesn't say anything except that they look really nice every time. I also had a little bit of a breakdown the other night over something really stupid. I got another coupon holder because the one that I have isn't big enough to hold all of my coupons. I was really upset because it was missing the stickers that you are supposed to use label the catergories. Matt was really cute and he was asking if I wanted him to go back to the store get another one, and he was trying to find something around the house that would work instead. Then he was really nice to me for the rest of the night. I knew that I wasn't being rational, but I couldn't seem to help it. It's just the hormones right? Poor Matt! He's a good husband!

How Cute is Max's Baby Announcement?

Tempe City League Basketball Champs Again!

Matt's US Airways team won the championship game for the Tempe City League! Matt scored the last few points to tie up the game and take it into overtime (including an awesome 3 pointer!), and they won in overtime! Go US Airways!

I went to visit Sarah and Max yesterday after work. He is getting so big! He'll be 4 weeks on Thursday. Look at those cute little rolls he is getting on his legs and arms! We walked to CVS for some great deals and also had some Bahama Bucks. Yummy! It looks like we tired Max out. It was hard work riding in the stroller and in the car.

Caden's Room is so Cute!

We've made lots of progress on Caden's room. I am so excited how great everything is turning out! Now we just need a few accesories and a baby to go in there. (I think that Duke approves too, even though he isn't supposed to be in there. Him and Carrot both keep trying to get in the crib. I guess that it looks like a cozy place to sleep even though it doesn't have a mattress yet.)

Finally . . . A Work in Progress!

Now that we've finally found out that we are having a boy we've been able to start working on the nursery! Anyone who knows me knows that I'm not very patient and I love decorating, so it seems like I've been waiting forever to do the nursery. I am so excited to finally be working on it! (Really I haven't done a lot of work yet. It's mostly Matt!)

Our friend Brigham came over and he and Matt put up wainscoating. It looks so awesome! Brigham is quite the talented guy. We still have some painting to do, but it will look great when it's all done. We are painting the wainscoating white and the top will be a really light blue. As soon as the painting is done, Matt can put together the baby furniture. Yeah!! It's been sitting in boxes since November when we got it on sale the day after Thanksgiving. (See I told you that I'm not very patient.)

Here is the bedding that I've picked out. I have to say that it wasn't my first choice, but lately I haven't been able to pass up a great deal. I found this set at Ross for $30, and I saw the exact same one at Babies R' Us for $170. That makes it look really cute doesn't it? Actually it's not bad, and I am going to add some blue accents so that it won't be so much brown.

Today I decorated the letters for Caden's name to hang on the wall. I am going to hang them with white ribbon from a curtain rod that is the same dark color as the baby furniture over the crib. Yep were commited now. His name is going to be Caden.
