The Cardinals Game and Schnepf Farms

Matt and his brothers-in-law, and some of our older nephews were so excited to go to the Cardinals game yesterday since it was during the week and not on a Sunday.

My sister-in-law Amy's girls had a dance performance at Schnepf Farms, so Caden and I went with them so that we could have some fun too!   Caden and Cannon were waiting for the girls to dance here.

They had some fun rides, 

and a petting zoo. 

Caden loved the airplane ride, and he went on it lots of times.  I could not convince him to go on the little roller coaster though.

The Zoo

We went to the zoo yesterday with my cousin Courtney and her little boy Oliver and my other cousin's wife Alison and her kids Madison and Lucas.

 

Caden and Madison were so excited to ride the camel! 

This monkey was very interested in the kids,  He was so cool looking, and he doesn't usually come up to the glass like this, 

The tiger was awake, and he was playing with some toys in his cage.  He was also roaring back at the kids which they loved!

We got to see Reba the elephant up close, and her trainer was even there,  we got to watch her eat some apples, and when they were gone she kept making noises to the trainer because she wanted more,  She was so cool.  We also found out a lot of info about the elephants from the trainer.  There are 3 elephants, but they are always kept separate because they don't get along.  Reba was donated to the zoo in 1999 by the Ringling Brothers Circus after she killed someone.  The trainers never go into the cage with the elephants, and there is always some sort of barrier.

The Dentist!

Caden went to the dentist and he didn't have any cavities!  He was so good, and Dr. Welch said that he is the best four year old patient.  He picked these glasses out of the treasure box.  Before we went he was worried that there wouldn't be anything in the treasure box, so it's a good thing that he found something good. :)

 

Mother Nature's Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday we went to Mother Nature's Farm.  It's right across the street from our old house.  When we were first married we used to walk over there, and we still like to go even though we have to drive now.  It's a lot funner with Caden too!

 

As soon as the goat heard the dispenser giving out food he was sticking his head over the fence trying to get it.  I guess that he has it all figured out! 

This was on the hayride which was Caden's favorite part since we were pulled by a tractor.

First T-Ball Game!

Caden had his first t-ball game on Saturday!  He was so handsome in his uniform, and he did an awesome job!  He was so excited that his cousin Noah and his friend Porter are on his team too!

 

Happy Birthday to me

We celebrated my 32nd birthday this week.  It was fun to hang out with family, and I always get spoiled by Matt and Caden!

 

Cute Card!

We went to a birthday party last week for Caden's friend, and Caden made this cute card for him!  I was excited that Caden wanted to make a card since he doesn't usually like to do crafty things, plus he did such a good job with the writing!

The Zoo

We've been going to the zoo once a week since the weather has been so good, and last week we went with Grandma Nancy and Uncle Mikey who are two of Caden's favorite people!

 

Decorating Cookies

We went to my cousin Darren and Alison's house for the kids to decorate Halloween cookies.  It was funny because all of the boys just decorated one cookie, so they could eat it.  Madison decorated all of the rest of them.

 

It's a Volcano!

Caden and I read a book about a kid making a volcano, so we decided to make one ourselves.  Caden thought that it was so fun, and we had to make another one for Matt when he got home!

 

T-ball!

Caden had his first t-ball practice this week, and he was super excited to have his cousin Noah on his team!

The Zoo!

We were so excited to go to the zoo for the first time in ages since it has finally started to cool off outside!  We went with my cousin Courtney and her cute little boy Oliver.

Caden and the orangutan.  It was actually really good timing when we saw the orangutans because they were just opening up a new part of their enclosure.  They were so funny climbing all over everything, and hanging on the ropes.

Batman

Right now at McDonald's they are giving out Batman toys with the happy meals, so Caden is always wanting to go there.  We went there last week with Grandma Shobe, and he got this cute mask.  We even convinced Grandma to try it on!

 

Museum of Natural History

Last Saturday was free Smithsonian museum day, so we went to the Museum of Natural History in Mesa.  We brought Caden's cousin, Cannon, with us too.

 

The boys were excited to see the big t-rex, and all of the other dinosaurs. 

There was an activity room where the boys got to play with dinosaur toys, color dinosaur pictures, and build with magnetic blocks. 

We also watched a flash flood.
