Go Dbacks!

We went to the Diamondbacks game again last week!

Scooter

We are so ready for some cooler weather so that we can play outside!  It's been a little better in the evening, so Caden likes to ride his scooter as long as we aren't being eaten alive by mosquitos!

Duke

Our Duke passed away yesterday at 12 years old.  He was my first baby, and  I am so heartbroken by this.  3 weeks ago I took him to the vet because he was having trouble breathing, and the vet thought that he had asthma or bronchitis.  He said that there was also a small chance that it was lung cancer.  He was put on several medications,but nothing was helping to improve it.  The vet said that it was most likely cancer, and that there wasn't anything else that we could do.  I felt like he was suffering, and I know that we made the right decision.  It was such a hard decision to make.  He will be greatly missed at our house.  Duke was the sweetest kitty.  At night he liked to go "hunting" in his toys, and he would always proudly bring me his "kill."  He would get jealous if I was rubbing Matt's back, and he would always have to come and lay in the middle of us.  He loved the Christmas tree, and he would spend hours sleeping underneath of it.  He would always come when I called him.  Maybe this sounds silly, but I hope that I will see him again someday.

Bowling

We went bowling as a family yesterday.  Matt is a great bowler, but me not so much.  Caden and I score pretty close to each other, but in my defense he uses the bumpers and I don't. :)

We also invested in some bowling shoes for me and Matt, so this was our fist time using them.  We didn't get any for Caden because his feet grow too fast!

We went to the Diamondbacks game last Friday which is always fun!

Caden always wants to ride the light rail, so we parked our car at the park and ride and rode the light rail to the stadium.  I don't love the light rail because it is always packed on the way home plus it takes forever!

Caden got to practice his baseball skills too.

Peter Piper Pizza

Caden's cousin Cannon came over and spent the night.  Caden LOVES having his cousins over, and he was so happy.  We even went to Peter Piper Pizza.  As soon as Cannon left Caden kept asking when he was going to come back again. :)
