Flowers!!

All of my plants are blooming and the flowers are looking so pretty now!  I thought that I would take some pictures before it gets too hot and they all die!

Dianthus and Petunias

Dianthus, Vincas, and Nastrium. (I planted the nastrium from seeds but they always grow to be so big and pretty!)

More Roses

This is our small garden which is really Matt's project.  He planted tomatoes, yellow onions, yellow bell peppers, and mexi bell peppers (spicy!).

Here are some of the yellow peppers.  These are the biggest ones that we have ever gotten, and they aren't even ready yet! Hopefully the birds don't get them because that happened a lot last year.

Just Because This Made Me Smile

Caden was so cute hugging his whale while he was sleeping, and he insisted on wearing the reindeer socks.

Happy 33rd Birthday Matt!

Every year Matt complains that I get a whole week of birthday celebration, and he usually only gets one day.  Well this year Matt also had a birthday week, so I don't want to hear any complaining come October! ;)  I hope that you had an awesome birthday week!  Love you Matt!

Last Saturday we had a birthday barbecue at our house with Matt's family, and also some of his cousins came that we don't get to see all that often.

Matt and his siblings decided that we are only exchanging presents for the kids this year and not the adults since there are getting to be so many people.  I have to say that it's nice to not have to worry about buying presents for everyone, but not as nice on your own birthday! :)

Caden, Noah, & Cannon were so cute eating together at the little table.

Caden and Noah also got into a a little mischief as you can see.  I'm not really sure how they got the crayons down because they are up pretty high, but needless to say I was not too happy about this.  Those boys often get into trouble together, and it scares me a little bit to think what the future may bring!  We ended up having to paint the closet since nothing else would take the crayon off. (Yes I tried the Mr Clean Magic Eraser.  I hate stupid flat paint that it not cleanable!)

On Matt's actual birthday he ended up working from home since the Internet was not working in his office.  Joe's Farm Grill and Joe's Barbecue (Yes owned by the same people) both give $10 off on your birthday, so Matt decided that he wanted to eat at both places.  These pictures are from Joe's Farm Grill, and it was crazy busy but so good!  This was the barbecue sampler, and

this is the pulled pork sandwich.  I thought that Joe's Farm Grill was better, but Matt liked Joe's Barbecue better. So I guess that it's safe to say that we liked both places and will likely be going back.

Yesterday we celebrated with my family.  We went out to dinner at a place called San Tan Flats.  I guess that they usually have live music and bonfires, but we were there a little too early for all of that.

We did get to sit on the saddle though, and they had really yummy hamburgers.

I made chocolate chip cheesecake instead of cake since we had already been eating leftover cake all week.  It was so good!

Go Dbacks!

Matt came home from work on Thursday, and told me that he wanted to go see the Diamondbacks game.  We found some seats on the upper level for only $5!  Although they were high up we were close to home plate and could see everything really well.  I wasn't sure how Caden would be, but he was really good.  We had a lot of fun!

Caden loved all of the yelling and cheering.  He kept yelling go Dbacks!  It was so cute!

Bounce U

Yesterday morning we went to the open bounce at Bounce U.  We've been meaning to go there for awhile (since Caden loves bouncing!), but they have mostly parties and not very much open bounce time.  The Saturday morning open bounce is bright and early from 8 to 9:30.  I guess that it's too early for a lot of people because we invited a few people and no one wanted to come! Caden had a blast playing with us though.

We did a little warm up on the small slide.

Then we tried out the big slide.  It took a little convincing the first time, but after that he kept going back down.

This t ball game was so fun, because it blew the ball up in the air.

Caden and I had good timing.

Just because this made me laugh.

More Easter

I found this outfit for Caden so that he would be really cute on Easter.  I made sure that it was ironed, and I fixed his hair really good so that it would stay.  He shirt was wrinkled within 10 seconds of putting it on,  he wouldn't leave his tie on without a fight, and he smashed his hair (ie the picture).  I guess that is having a boy for you!

Mike and Beth had an Easter egg hunt at the park near their house.

Here Caden was showing me all of his eggs.

The bubbles were a hit too!

Hadley was excited about finding the big egg.  There are usually 2 of them, and those are the ones to find!

Miss D was so cute in her Easter dress!

All of the grandkids with Matt's dad minus the Coles, but they will be here in a few weeks. (Yay!)

Family Picture

After this we had a yummy dinner at Amy's house with Matt's family, and then we had another yummy dinner at Grandma Shobe's house with my family.  I neglected to take more picture though. :(  We had a fun day, and Caden came home with TONS of candy!  Now that's all that he wants to eat.

Happy Easter!

Caden's Easter basket!

Matt's family has a tradition of the Easter bunny hiding their Easter baskets, so we are doing that with Caden too.  He was so excited when he found his basket!

This chicken winds up and lays eggs that are really gum.  So cute!

Caden showing off all of his loot.  He got some little plastic animals that he was really excited about.  We took them to church because I thought that I would keep him quiet during sacrament.  While the sacrament was being passed (and it was dead quiet in there!) Caden kept getting all of the animals out.  He would say what they were really loudly and then proceed to make the animal sounds.  Maybe not the best toys for sacrament!

City of Chandler Eater Egg Hunt

On Saturday we went to an Easter egg hunt that was set up through the city of Chandler.  I have to admit that it was super crowded and really hot.  I don't think that we will go again next year, but I think that Caden had fun.

They had a few bounce houses to play in which Caden is always excited about!

Here we were waiting for the Easter egg hunt to start.  I think that calling it an Easter egg "hunt" is a little generous because basically they dropped a bunch of eggs into the middle of the baseball field.  There really wasn't much hunting involved.  Also in the 0 to 2 years age group there seriously must've been like 500 kids, and we were only allowed to have 4 eggs per person.

Caden and Noah were so cute holding hands waiting for Easter egg hunt.

Caden also had a ride on the choo choo train.  The first time he got on he wanted off before the ride started, but eventually he got back on and had fun.
