So Tired!

Caden fell asleep while he was eating dinner tonight.

Smartest Baby Ever!

Caden was playing with the ball popper, and when it stopped I pushed the lever so it would go again. Caden must've been paying attention because the next time it stopped he tried to push the lever himself. What a smart boy!

This is Carrot's favorite toy by the way. He was waiting for the balls to go flying off so that he can chase them around the house. (Hmmm I think that this may be why one is missing?)

Caden's Favorite "Toy"

Caden must take after his daddy (and every other man on the planet!) because he loves the remote control. If it is anywhere near him it is the toy of choice (followed by the cell phone.)

8 Months Old!

My cute little Caden is already 8 months old! He is the sweetest baby ever! He always has a smile for me. He seems to be getting more attached to me lately. He's not too sure about people that he doesn't see very often, and he will usually keep an eye on me. This month was the first time that Caden has really been sick, and it was pretty bad with RSV. He was quite grumpy and cried a lot, for a few days, which is not like him at all. We've been practicing with new finger foods, and he has gotten pretty good at feeding himself. He loves any food that he can pick up! Sometimes he rolls all around the floor, but mostly he just likes to sit up and play with his toys. He does get up on his knees when he's on his stomach, so he may start crawling soon. He's been off of his schedule since he has been sick, but we are getting back on the sleeping 11 hours a night schedule.

Caden likes being up on his knees, and is getting ready to crawl. Soon he'll be going all over the place!

Mmmmm Broccolli

Caden didn't eat very much broccolli, but was quite happy to play with it. Now everytime I feed him he tries to grab the bowl because he wants to play with the food. It was cute the first time, but now not so much!

Thank Goodness!

Caden is finally feeling better today! He is pretty much back to his happy sweet self. He is still congested, but he only needed one breathing treatment today. This has been a very long week for both of us, and I am so happy that he is feeling better! (He was so cute in both pictures that I couldn't decide which one to post!)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Matt surprised me with these pretty pink flowers for Valentine's day. Carrot loves flowers too. It's cute that he smells them, but not so cute that he tries to eat them. I always put them up when I leave, and I soon as I put them back on the counter he jumps right up and tries to eat them again.

My Poor Sick Baby

Caden has been coughing and congested the last couple of days, so I took him to the doctor. We found out that he has RSV. It makes it difficult to breathe, and it can last for up to 3 weeks. We have to give him breathing treatments every 4 hours for the 1st 24 hours and as needed after that. (So much for sleeping tonight!) He had a breathing treatment at the doctor's office. I had to hold a mask over his face, and he screamed the whole time. The machine they gave me for at home has this nifty pacifier attachment which is so much better. He was falling asleep instead of screaming. At least it won't be torture for the next 24 hours. I guess that it is really contagious, so he has to stay away from other kids for a week. Hopefully there won't be any long term effects because it can cause wheezing and asthma later on. Poor little guy. It breaks my heart!
