The Train at the Mall

Caden loves to ride the train at Chandler Mall, so sometimes it serves as a good source of bribery to get him to do something that he doesn't want to do.  The only problem is that is costs $4 per person, and he has to be accompanied by a paying adult.  Really?!  I'm pretty sure that Matt didn't get his moneys worth out of that one, but I guess that the smile on Caden's face makes it worth it.

Caden's 1st Sleepover and the Zoo Again!

JJ and Kaylee spent the night after the New Year's celebration, so it was Caden's 1st official sleep over.  JJ and Kaylee were fine, but Caden kept bugging them unto they eventually all fell asleep.

We also took them to the zoo the next day.

The lion was laying on her back just like our cat Carrot likes to do.  I had to take a picture because she was so cute.  She looked like just a big kitty cat.

Happy New Year!

Janeille, Matthias, and the kids came over to celebrate new years eve with us.  We had a fire in the fire pit, played some games, and set off some fireworks.

The kids LOVED the sparklers.  It was so fun.  Kaylee's already burnt out before the picture, and we didn't have anymore.

Grant was so cute with his sparkler.

Wreaths!

I've been a little addicted to making wreaths lately, and here is the latest one that I made.  I keep thinking of cute new ones to make, but I don't have anywhere to put them!

Brrrr!

It's been so cold lately that Carrot can usually be found sleeping under a blanket!

Santa Hats

We were at Target yesterday checking out the after Christmas sales, and Caden thought it was so fun to wear a Santa hat around the store.  Then he wanted to take a picture, so here it is.  He is so silly.  Love this kid!

Christmas with Grandma Shobe

After my parents house we all headed over to Gradnma Shobe's house.  We open presents, and she always makes a really yummy dinner (actually feast may be a more appropriate word!).  I've been going to Grandma Shobe's on Christmas for my entire life, and I have some really fond childhood memories of spending Christmas day at her house.  It's so much work for her, but she still shops for all of her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.  She also spends all day cooking, and she doesn't want anyone to bring anything.  She is really a great grandma, and we all love her!

Christmas with Papa and Grandma Nancy

After breakfast we went to my parents house for some more Christmas fun with Papa, Grandma Nancy, and Mikey.  It is always a little sad that Sarah and her family aren't there though.  Caden gets a little bit spoiled being the center of attention since he is the only kid there. He loves going over there!

My parents

Caden was excited for his leap pad.  It's kind of like an ipad for kids.  You can download apps and games plus it has a camera and a video camera.

All of us in front of the tree.

Christmas with Matt's Family

Matt's family all came over to our house on Christmas morning for breakfast and to open presents.  All of the kids were so cute in either their pajamas or new clothes from Santa that they had to wear right away, and They were super excited for what Santa had brought them.

They all had fun playing in the back yard with Caden's new toys.

Opening presents

Delilah was so cute and kept wanting to pet Duke, but he didn't really want to have anything to do with her.
